Author Topic: Connecting a Blu-Ray Player Jeremy Weigel Phenomenal Film Handler Posts: 1062 From: Edmond, OK, USA Registered: Mar 2007 posted 01-21-2010 08:35 PM                     Bought this player Sharp BD-HP20U Blu-Ray and connected it directly to the CP2000zx and CP500. The picture and audio quality looks/sounds really good. The picture is however, only 1080i. The only problem I have is that I can not get the picture to stretch vertically to get a descent proportion. Is there a way to adjust the picture size through the channel settings on the projector or do I need to get a scaler?  |  IP: Logged Steve Guttag We forgot the crackers Gromit!!! Posts: 12814 From: Annapolis, MD Registered: Dec 1999 posted 01-22-2010 09:17 AM                     If you set your BluRay player to 24p...THEN, if you set your projector to "Cinema Processing" you can scale the image in the projector. The projector will not scale anything over a 48Hz frequency and then only on Cinema Processing. Otherwise, yes, an external scaler...and one that is HDCP compliant (e.g. ACS 2048) will be needed to resize the image.
