I know this to be a fact because I made an effort to see it in a EX theatre when the Dolby website at the time listed it as a upcoming EX release. They did a great job mixing it, because when Rex and Buzz are supposedly running the film, it sounds like the voices are coming from the dead center of the rear of the theater. At present, we're doing the double in February but from the weekend's figures I wonder if we'll have the 'GRINDHOUSE' effect and they'll split them here too. We only have Toy Story for one week, UP opens on Friday. I don't know why Disney UK has split the two films, but will see if anyone at work knows. I can think of several reasons but the first one that came to mind was kids having to sit through that long a feature. There were plenty of glasses in the cardboard bin outside the door so I snagged one. The 3D looked OK. It certainly didn't enhance my enjoyment of the movie and it didn't make me want to hang around and see more. Most people leave after the first one simply due to the fact that the kids just don't want to sit in a theatre for another 90 minutes. Right now we're averaging more than half the audience leaving after Toy Story and some of those that stay for part 2 leave about half way through. I experienced this myself with my 4 year old nephew. Why on earth not? I am always online when I can't sleep so the odd missing question mark creeps in! If we had an intermission we would send someone in to hawk in the screen. It's a shame people are leaving early, Toy Story 2 is one of the few sequels that is as good or better than the original film. Out of interest have any customers come in expecting to see Toy Story 3 yet?
