Whether it makes money directly from cinema is not the issue. For a start, it's an image thing, pun intended, TI is not going to go away and let Sony take over the cinema market. Everything TI touches with DLP they end up losing in....even in DCinema Sony now has more sales lined up with many going in right now. They are going to lose in the pico projector market too.
