The actual current GA release of the Dolby software is 4.3.0.36. There are higher versions in Beta, as you say. Note, the GDC player that passed DCI is running software 8.x not 7.x too. I know the Dolby player is JUST a software update...I'm pretty sure Doremi will have hardware fixes to earlier players...I'm not sure on the GDC player but I think it is just software too. -Steve  |  IP: Logged Mark Gulbrandsen Resident Trollmaster Posts: 16657 From: Music City Registered: Jun 99 posted 01-04-2012 08:59 PM                     Yep... just a software update on "the other" player, no kdm required . The only difference between "the other" players is the front panel and or lack of small touch screen monitor. INside it's the same. BTW We've got a 2100A with an external touchscreen - our internal one failed. As it turns out... a false statement. GDC does require a KDM for all players to make the jump to DCI compliance. GDC (and I believe Doremi) do require a VERY slight hardware change too...that is an additional Ethernet cable will be required to connect the new security manager to the network (as well as program the new security manager).  |  IP: Logged
