Quicktime .MOV files are okay, but my PS3 won't play the embedded videos with any audio unless some extra steps are taken removing the video from that .MOV wrapper. .FLV files suck. They're not supported by commonly used video players like Apple Quicktime or Windows Media Player. I can't even get one to play back directly within Adobe Flash Professional without doing some work to make it happen. I realize .FLV is only a "distribution" medium, but if you encode a video in .FLV you don't have a fast/easy way of proofing the results. At least that's one good thing about HTML5. You don't have to bother with the damned .FLV wrapper -provided the video you're uploading is supported by any web browser pointing at it. Hmm. That's not quite so easy either.
