I'm gonna try a few of the solutions mentioned here at some point.  |  IP: Logged Jock Blakley Expert Film Handler Posts: 218 From: Melbourne, Victoria, Australia Registered: Oct 2011 posted 10-03-2013 01:35 AM                     I had trouble using some of the Ext2 for Windows/Mac utilities formatting Advanced Format drives (4096-bit sectors, most manufacturers have been doing it on bigger drives for a few years now) - everything I tried mis-aligned the partition, which degrades performance. Since we had a spare computer going I just installed Debian on it and use it as a dedicated drive copying station.
