Yes, the cloning issue was fixed. So far, I've had no issues with 4.8.13 on anything. It has been very stable and I haven't found any glitches yet (same with touchpanel 4.8.13).

Strange, I have been using it for a while and I consider it the most unstable release ever released.
When I apply a clone, the process never stops - despite a "clone applied successfully" turns up, but files keep transferring in the background. You can reboot anyway, confirming on the next dialog, but had some file corruption. Also, the software crashed on me way too often compared to previous versions.

Yes that is quite strange...for me 4.7.9 has been the least stable...some touchpanels won't work with it too.

I can't claim to have had need to apply much in the way of clones. I have made many clones (as backups). 4.7.9 would not do a preset clone properly on a series 1. Had to keep 4.7.6 around for that. I'll be on the lookout for problems with applying a clone. Have you had the problem on Preset, TI, Controller or Full?

Curious. I'll slap this on my laptop (Win 8.1) and play around with it for a while.

Marco, are you using this on a Touchpanel, or a separate laptop/desktop? If so, which OS?

I am using Windows 7 32bit. 4.8 consistently failed to apply a full clone to the projector. I have reported it to Barco and they think it's a bug and they'll investigate.

We usually don't have many touchpanels around, so I don't really know much about them.

But since I installed 4.8 the software have crashed on me a few times and I cannot remember this behaviour with 4.7.9. Don't get me wrong, the Communicator still works well, I just feel that 4.8 is not as good as other releases - but it's introducing the ICMP and Alchemy, I believe they didn't spend much time on refining the bugs!

Now I'm thinking about, on a touchpanel 4.8 suddenly completely lost the touchscreen calibration. I had to plug a USB mouse to run the calibration again because half of the screen could not be reached by touch.

All of the systems I've put 4.8 on were Win 7 64-bit or Linux (Ubuntu 12.04 32-bit).

Thanks for the heads up...I'll be on the look-out.

I would like update this post a bit, since it's same as problem i have. Well, last night one DP1200 pop up red tail light and when i connected with communicator, there is error 5820, which means "the GORE protection of the TI cinema interface board has been triggered and therefore the TI cinema interface board is irreversible out of order"

So GORE- board died probably, i tried to look for both back and pront panel microswitches, all ok, reseting cards and rebooting machine don't help......so I can only switch off TLS II and play unencrypted content, but the question is, is it possible to repair board at barco, or try to get used one (if possible) since this is small weekend cinema with lack of money.....

That's one of the TI boards: all S1 DLP projectors use the same TI board set. Possibly TI can reset and reprogram the board but I've never tried to have that done. Ask Barco if it is possible, it would take a while to do though (probably guessing one week would be optimistic).

I think week is too optimistic, and i doubt i can do anything by myself here....but will ask.

Anybody try to do same thing by himself?
