Author Topic: BARCO DALLAS KEY Jay Glaus Expert Film Handler Posts: 123 From: Pittsburgh, PA USA Registered: Dec 2010 posted 04-27-2015 02:14 AM                        Reading the number off those keys can be a pain in a dark booth. I came across some S series barcos and was surprised to see the Dallas key is no longer with them. It's simply a button with a key icon on it that you press and then enter the passcode. I'm surprised that passed code, I figured with the security that is put on these things that they would want a physical dallas key.  |  IP: Logged Steve Guttag We forgot the crackers Gromit!!! It does NOT require a physical key of any type. Both NEC and Christie also do not use a physical key. Christie has one press the marriage button and NEC has a passcode...though both Christie and NEC also require an additional high-level password via the UI to initiate the marriage sequence. All of it is pretty silly though. All they are getting is a log entry that there was a security breach and then it was cleared by an "authorized" person. But one doesn't know who that person was.  |  IP: Logged
