Agree with Virgil Fox. Now, you have Cameron Carpenter and his Marshall & Ogletree Touring Organ One could throw a PRO-35 at you if you say "Apogee" again. Really, the "better" were the SuperSimplex and the E7 since they did project a steady picture with that old flat trap and gate assembly. But, they required a dedicated projectionist to take care of these old units. Now, Kinoton and Ernemanns could be even better than the Simplex and Century.. Can't say anything better about the digital units ,esp SONY. DLP light engines are a hardy unit, but they themselves can have issues when they want to. Perhaps, but some brands performed those tasks better than others, which seems to be what the OP's intent. When considering one brand of equipment against another, there is no lack of opinion on this forum.
