Doremi has a training document explaining the different watermark versions (yes, they had Philips, Thomson, Civolution, and Doremis own). They are not related to Doremi main software version, but Dolphin board release and watermarking rebranding, so, there is a clear eSN relation. Some boards did not have audio watermarking, besides that, there were temporary hotfixes to disable audio watermarking.

And yes, neither of them has anything to do with projector communication/marriage.

---
• CIV WM = Civolution Forensic WaterMark • DRM WM = Doremi Forensic WaterMark
The first RevB Dolphin medaiblocks shipped had ether Philips (0) or Thomson (1) WM, then Thomson brought Philips and then there was only one company, Thomas now known as Civolution
---

I would suggest to call Doremi/Dolby about this issue.

Did you create a detailed log?

Are you sure this is a Dolphin B board? To my knowledge, this is a first generation Dolphin board without ANY security implemented, and these should all be blacklisted by now, so they are of little use for cinemas. I would even doubt that current Doremi software will support it. The indicated Philips watermark module, however, makes it very probable that this is indeed a Dolphin B board.

A Dolphin rev B has 4 BNC connectors.

I thought that any Dolphin would support Cinelink 2 - the problem is the other way round where if you have a DCI Dolphin then you can ONLY run Cinelink 2 and some series 1 don't support it.

There was a post on this forum mentioning a file with a number in it which seemed to show what encryption was being used. Maybe it's worth a try - you'll have to do some research to find it.

Other thing I can think is to re-install the firmware on the Dolphin - you never know.

Have you run the logs on the analyser?
http://loganalyzer.dolbycustomer.com/

It may highlight something important. Other thing is that 2.92 and 12.92 were compiled with different watermarking (Phillips, Thompson). Not sure whether you may have the wrong FW or whether the Diagnostic tool should also show the audio watermarking.

The Barco should have a 'bypass Enigma' option somewhere. Can you try playing unencrypted content with the enigma disabled and see what happens?

Alas, that is not a feature to commoner of Barco. Barco does have an Enigma bypass but ONLY for Post Production and it does not survive a power cycle so each session requires its activation (or deactivation, depending on how you look at it). Both Christie and NEC do offer Enigma bypass. Heck, Christie no longer supplies an Enigma with the projector, it is a purchasable option.

Thanks Steve,

Indeed I used that option on a P machine. I didn't know it was not available on every machine.

It's available on every machine BUT you have to use the Post Production version of Communicator.
