Oh yes.
GDC is supposed to be working on a solution so the TMS can build a playlist with ICMP black pattern.
This is only a real issue where a screen has mixed use and the ICMP could be left in an alternative content input mode. If that's the situation it's a good idea to start all playlists with a 5s black pattern with a cue to switch to player input. The ICMP will refuse to play any DCP, but it will play the black pattern if it is in an alternative content mode - so a scheduled show will fail without that black pattern and mode switch cue.

If you do want to try to do this with a JNIOR let us know. If it can be accomplished with Event Manager or something else we can figure it out. If you want to pursue it I would recommend joining http://jnior.com to get a discussion going directly with Kevin.

Kevin wrote all of these applications by the way. Really, ALL of them and we are looking for new capabilities to add. And, uh, short of the JNIOR there likely won't be any additional cost as we should charge for this stuff but don't.

The Raspeberry Pi doesn't come with direct access to designers and programmers who are anxious to satisfy. The Arduio doesn't either. The JNIOR is somewhere in between on that spectrum. Wouldn't you agree?

So, let us know if we can help.
