Then, Servers may act unexpectedly playing SMPTE and Interop content. Servers can treat internal routing mapping ok for IOP packages but ignore it for SMPTE packages. "Voluntary" deadline. Roughly 350 "cinema locations" that are not ready for SMPTE packages, to be "encouraged to prepare". And this is only for NATO territory... USA and Canada. After some experience with cinema operators, I expect only a total end to IOP packages can pry any cash from their pockets to become SMPTE ready. As usual it's an economic argument. How much does it cost to carry dual inventory and to supply a few hundred screens with IOP DCPs and KDMs vs how much do those screens earn for the studios?  |  IP: Logged
