Hi Marco, yes I am looking for a new 4K cinema projector with the throw of 26m long, 9m screen height and 20m screen width.

Hi Carsten, as per the projectionist, It hasn't been rebooted since 2015. I am here for the automation and exhibits but now, they instructed me to take over of the cinema.

I assume all you have is the local touchscreen?

Can you comment on available cinema service companies/integrators in your area?

I can only guess that this system hasn't seen a tech for many many years. There are a couple of keeper batteries in it, and they are probably depleted (not even mentioning the UPS batteries).

Hi Carsten,

I have been using the sony app for playing the movie and the touchscreens.

I have looked for integrators here and no local company is integrating the sony projector. This was originally installed by a UK company call Electrosonic and since the AMC is not renewed, they are not providing support as of the moment.

Correct me if my guess is wrong, if the smscpu is faulty there should be no image on the touch screen and the app shouldn't be able to connect to the projector system, right?

Hi Carsten, I would like to inform you and the guys that my projector is now up and running again. Since you are not convinced with what Sony and I have concluded on our troubleshooting and said that it might only be the batteries inside. So I purchased the same type of batteries and I was able to initialize the security and marriage authentication.

Thanks for your time and effort. It is very much appreciated.

Great to hear you got it up and running, but I highly recommend you have a tech perform preventative maintenance (PM) on that Sony. We perform four PM's a year on ours to maintain a quality image; optics cleaning, Uniformity and Gamma, filter replacement, FW/SW updates etc.

That was a simple fix!

Mark: FOUR? I am well aware that Sony require more maintenance but if four visits are really required, you may want to invest in some filtration for your booth instead!

That sounds like a good idea. The only drawback is that you will need a machine from Sony which is not worth purchasing if you are only servicing one projector.
