In your case, if the amps had been blown regularly with compressed air, you probably wouldn't have to open them. I had one site overheat an ICP because they forgot about the front set of filters that were hiding behind a rarely unused Real-D attachment. Now I have never had any other sites have totally clogged up QSC heatsinks like that. BUt I have hada number where there was a pretty fair amount built up and cutting down dissipation efficiency. The fans did the job.
