Point is: It's harder to get to the signal on an integrated bus. Hollywood even doesn't want you have the encrypted signal, they're that paranoid. Also, encryption schemes have been broken in the past, especially due to weaknesses in the key exchange or key storage mechanisms. There is no reason to at FIPS level 140-2 and hackers even know that. And DCI has already moved that up to FIPS 140-3. Hollywood is paranoid and ALMOST ALL OF their movies which are leaked out are stolen through people getting screener Blu-Rays from industry people that worked on those films, and those members viewing the films voting for awards.
