The entire DCP file conventions, format labels, etc. etc. should be tossed out the window, covered in gasoline, and burned to smithereens. It's needlessly complicated and a side effect of archaic software and hardware used to run the show. Things could be changed to the system to make it more common sense and hopefully avoid the errors that can and do occur in exhibition. The technology is there, just need good software.

I agree with Brad: just because you can export a DCP from a laptop doesn't make you a professional film maker.
