Movies like this either work for me or they don't- this had me laughing about 50% of the time. Half the time I was asking myself "how in the hell did this movie get MADE?" but at least I got the point of most of the jokes. Not a great film, but not completely awful either.
The first "Ace Ventura" movie ranks as one of the WORST movies I've ever seen- "Freddy Got Fingered" made some sense because the lead character's supposed to be an idiot, but with "Ace Ventura" I simply could not get past the fact that Jim Carrey's character obviously had some serious mental disorder yet he was still being allowed to be a 'detective'- the police made fun of him but mostly let him try to do his job when I thought they should have been carting him off to the loony bin!
I dunno, humor is in the eye of the beholder!

Yes, Jesse, is there anything more annoying than that scene where Ace was yelling at the top of lungs opening and closing the balcony door to prove something out there could be not be heard? I did like the "Ace Ventura" movies, though.

Still, after a week and a day after seeing "Freddy Got Fingered", everytime the "Backwards Man" and/or "Daddy, would you like some sausage?" scenes pop into my head, I smile.

The ONLY thing I found funny about this film was the restaurant scene, up to a point. The tape-recorded "cellular" telephone gag was funny up until he started screaming and going crazy, and then the line "Do you have a problem with my legs?" "No but you do, that or you're just lazy" had me laughing. Other than that, as Randy said, he took everything way past the point of humor (if it had been funny in the first place, he would've killed the joke by overdoing it).

I simply cannot believe that I am taking precious time out of my life which I can never get back to write about this stupid movie.

I have never seen the Tom Green show and I still found that the movie sucked an incredible amount of unwiped ass. Where was the humor? Tom Green is a spaz. And that's all he is. That's all he knows how to do. You will never see him do any else but be a spaz and try to shock people. The "Daddy would you like some sausage" made absolutely no sense to me. If Tom Green was my son I would shoot him.

Here's my rating for this movie:

I can only give it 9 because that's all the forum can handle per post, so it is very clear that I must make more posts to give this movie what it deserves.
