Just heard on the TV that there is going to be a new reel with outakes

. I believe they said this Friday.

Yes it is true. Outtakes will be added and MARKETED this friday.

I think it was discussed here that they may do this in order to spur more sales and get people back for a Second-Helping.

Attendance: Village Boronia Entertainment Complex (just joking - Village Cinemas Boronia) 9.00 Session Saturday 29 December 2001.

I enjoyed this film quite a lot. The characters are quite believable and in animation that is the key thing. I think that it is a credit to the animators that the audience can feel emotion for the lead characters. The plot is imaginative although it follows a standard Hollywood formula.

Still a great film for the family.

7.5 (out of 10 stars)

Is it just me, or do those outtakes seem a little....forced? The ones that are clearly made from the actors mistakes ("look-lay in the bag-bay") are funny, but the ones where Roz keeps showing up got a little stupid. Also the whole "company play" thing at the end was terrible, except for Mike pointing out his Mom in the audience.

I wish they would make more shorts like "For The Birds" and attach them to other movies. At every showing here, "For the Birds" got more laughs than the feature.

Your right Mike the short "for the Birds" cracked me up and the kids just loved it ."Lion King" had a short before it and there was a "Flintstones" Cartoon before another film ,I can't remember?

A couple of quick notes from the DVD:

First, the PIXAR tour shows us that PIXAR must be a very cool place to work. Loved the LOVE LOUNGE.

Credits are in the early '50's style of the late Ward Kimball, one of the great Disney animators.

An homage to BAMBI MEETS GODZILLA on the Company Play program.

On the beginning of the outtakes, there is a female Monster (Celia -- Mike's girlfriend) standing next to a chart of colors.

On the short FOR THE BIRDS, the second bird to land is named CHIPPER.
