The wife wondered where the bad guys attacking that castle got those big assed rocks from, for their catapults. Did they bring them with? I know the guys in the castle were flinging huge castle parts back at them. I was wondering how they were able to move them around into the flingers, so quickly. The two problems I had with it: 1: I thought the handling of Shelob (the big spider) was not what I expected. in the first two films I thought Peter Jackson's visualisation of what was in the book was fantastic, but I didn't like the way that Shelob was depicted as a mindless, giant spider and nothing more. In the book she's a considerably more intelligent and complex character. 2: The ending could have been much snappier in the editing. Particularly the "Frodo waking up" scene, which was almost a duplicate of the scene in Fellowship. Overall, though, a beautiful piece of film making.  |  IP: Logged
