The significance of the Whomping Willow and its placement and where that passage leads are all interrelated. From what I can tell...HP3 doesn't seem to have the staying power of the first two. I think their plan of straying too far from the books and condensing too much has really hurt them. And they're 'only' at book three. Their masses of young fans have grown and moved on, in my opinion. Maybe they'll come up with something to revive the franchise, but I can't think what it would be. (Maybe make a film of two books at once??) I wonder if all the books will be made into films .. I doubt it, though I hope they are. Ron Yost  |  IP: Logged
