Liked the movie. I had the same issues with the eye color subplot. Saw it in IMAX digital. However, the look is closer to AI's look and some other 90s movies look at times more than the busy rainy futuristic look that was popular in the 80s. Also, Japan is no longer that big commercial power it was in the 80s. So they tinkered with some of that vision.
