I don't have any good dirty-deeds stories, but this was funny.
It happened when we were still a changeover house, and I was working projection. We had an antique, fairly ornate mirror in the ladies restroom at that time, about 12 x 20 inches.
I was getting ready to do a changeover, and while waiting for the cue I looked out into the balcony from the booth just checking out the crowd, and there it was...the restroom mirror, sitting on the balcony floor in front of a female moviegoer, in a group of four people.
So I waited until after the movie. They waited until everyone else had left, then she stood up, very calmly put the mirror inside her coat and zipped it up all nice and neat. I stepped out of the booth and met them coming past the door. I said to the lady, "Can I have that mirror back please?" She said "What mirror?" So I THUMPED her on the chest and said, "That one right there!"
Needless to say she was pretty sheepish. We got the mirror back. Thank God her boyfriend didn't beat me up. (He thought it was funny she got caught.)

In our big 2500 seat theatre there are so many nooks and crannies that the students always find places to "do it." One night when I was walking up the five flights (that;s right....no evavator) to the booth, I turn into a small alcove where the door the the control room is located. Now it is totally black in this area and as I approach almost silently as I was wearing sneakers, I could see nothing, but heard heavy breathing and panting. I realized I had come upon a couple in the midst of it. They couldn't see me and I couldn;t see them but I cleared my throat and instead of the couple bounding for their cloths, it seemed like they were still going at it. I cleared my throat again and opened the door to the corridor, letting in light. I was standing right at their feet. The guy said, "Hey buddy, do you mind." I said, "Well, no, but I've got to tell you that there are about 15 students from the film department coming up behind me, so I leave it to you to decide what you want to do. As far as I am concerned, carry on!" The guy seemed quite annoyed, but I must say, he wasn't the focus of my attention at the moment (hey, I was just 20). The girl seemed totally unconcerned at being discovered and even smiled at me as she put on her bra, then asked the boy if I could join them. He said "No!" quite emphatically. God how I loved the 70s!
Over the years I have found evidence of he-ing and she-ing in various parts of the theatre building, but never this close up and personal.
Another story:
Once when we were pulling control cables up in the theatre's hang-ceiling, we found evidence that in one of the enclosures formed by two of the lobby walls meeting one of walls of the theatre proper, someone had been living here. There were cloths, blankets, a bed made of cardboard and newspapers, lots of soda bottles and beer cans and in one corner, you guessed it, the guy's "toilet" without the convenience of bowl or urinal. No one ever ventured into that part of the ceiling and getting to it was a real task, so the three of us looked at each other and decideded we weren't about to clean any of it up; besided it looked like it had been there for maybe decades; why worry about it now? Someone might come upon it again in another 30 or 40 years. We decided to let them worry about it!
