But in all seriousness, with the Mall of America, the GC sign there is a major undertaking to replace both cost and manpower-wise based on its size and location. For instance ... your theater will now have to play every little picture that comes along. No longer will your booker have the crappy 5-plex to "dump" crap film on. Say good-bye to multiple prints of good movies. Mall management wants the theater out so Bloomingdale's can add a home furnishings department. That's in line with the mall's expansion plans which the local planning board approved this week. AMC leaving Bridgewater means a bonanza for Reading in Manville -- provided Reading makes up with Universal and Fox. Otherwise people may have to drive at least 30 minutes to see a Universal or Fox film.  |  IP: Logged
