I saw in the local newspaper here in Nashville (The Tennessean) on Monday that there was a huge legal notice in the classifieds section of the paper regarding the "Notice To Creditors" involved in the Regal bankruptsy case. I've never seen a legal notice so large. It was about 3 columns wide and covered the full length of the page.

In regards to the neon, the Regal Hollywood 27 here in town is covered with the stuff. The skies over the mall it's next to glow a faint pinkish / purple color at night. It looks really cool, but I'm sure it was expensive.

I recently spoke with regals PA area film booker. He confirmed that Regal Cinemas has filed for bankruptcy. Oh, well, I always go to the Cinema Center, a local 3-plex running all of their movies in mono. It may not be state of the art, but at least I can see what's supposed to be happening on the screen, which, at our local regal, was frequently an impossible task due to the amount of dirt and scratches on the film (on opening weekend, mind you)

I generally don't do this, but John, I have to agree with you. I really peeves me to see that I have to work with some managers in this company that does not give a

about film done right or presentation. If I see the smallest of a nick or scratch on any print in my building, I have my guys rebuilding the film path. It is a shame that managers in this company and other companies hire or train jackasses to run the booth. I am proud to say that I run a VERY tight ship at my location and my projectionists actually give a damn. One day the others will wake up (hopefully).
