I'd like to add a little more, I've been working for this theatre for 4 years now. By April 23rd will by my 4th year and I'm sure it will be review time for a raise. I'm 31 years old and am older than all the managers except the DM. In the past couple of days reading all of the replies on my situation and talking to my DM about somethings. I've gotten some comments out from him saying that I have an attitude problem or something and I have to respect the rest of his managers and the reason behind having a 2nd Head Projectionist was because there had been alot of problems in the booth and that some other projectionists said they had problems with me. Now, I had typed up a list of my responisibilities for the new Head Projectionist to know and for the rest of the projectionists to know. As these events come up, and stressfull situations are happening, I'm feeling less and less wanted and welcomed here. Especially with all the jerking around of policies, poor communication of management between their employees, and abusing of power and all the other nit picking and BS that comes about. It could be that I'm way too stressed out from all of this and for having to live in an apartment with 1 other couple for roomates. So, I bite my tonge, try not have an attitude for as long as I can until I'm settled in my new apartment with just myself and my girlfriend and look for a new job. I probably couldn't stay at this theatre thru this X-MAS. Something is gonna give, the DM is probably going to choose the better Head Projectionist and or my review and raise won't happen. Which will indicate to me, its time to move on. If anyone wants to view my list of Responsibilities as a Head projectionsits for a Loews theatres, let me know and I will post it here. Thanks to all for your input and help.Darren S

Been gone for a while. Now to add more back up to my statements.Example of what I am trying to say. A projectionist scratches a movie. Customer thinks "This THEATRE has trashy prints!" That is how it goes, sad but true. One persons mistake makes an impact on not only other projectionists but the entire theatre. I am not trying to put the fear of God into people, just teamwork. If someone isn't working hard then make them work hard. If they still are not working hard, BYE BYE. My projectionist have this attitude towards each other. They do not let each other slack off because they know that the job has to be done. If you do not do it when you are supposed to then the next person has to and that is when they have words with you. You live and die as a TEAM! After a while the demands on each other raises the level of quality in the workplace. As far as what I said about punishment, come on man! Nobody is going to take you serious without muscle. That does not mean you beat down on someone for breathing at the wrong time or anything crazy like that. It just means if you cut out of line, you are going to be put back in line. If you talk back to mom then dad will give you the belt. I do not punish people for what other people do but for what they DON'T do. If this guy dropped a movie he was moving I ask the other projectionist why they weren't helping him. Now on to my employees. Believe me they are happy. One has been with us for three years. One for a year and six months. Two others for six months and one that was fired but was givn another chance. He has been here a total of about one year and three months. Not bad for only being open for three and a half years and barely $400 a week pay eh? Believe me, our booth quaity is great and is still on the rise. Maybe someone should pay a visit and see for themselves. More of a cahllenge than a suggestion.

Sure sounds like you might be a goner.Hi Pete: Unrelated question. What is the most common term used to refer to a grandfather in Scotland? Here in Canada it's "Grampy". I may have a decision to make soon. My heritage is Scots and I'd like to use a Scottish term. thanks
