quote: Aaron Mehocic Did any of you managers out there ever consider using some of the rewards points to encourage upselling instead of hoarding them all for your greedy-selves?
When my staff puts in 60 to 75 hours over busy weeks,(without overtime or compensation) and does the upselling and leads the upselling on their own without my direction or encouragement, maybe. I hate to sound "greedy" but I put in my time and work my ass off. My staff gets rewarded with occasional paid breaks, raises, letters of recommendation, etc. My assistants get a nice Christmas gift out of my pocket. Bottom line is that no manager can be good without a good staff and vice versa, but who hires and leads that staff? If I have a bad staff, which I have had many times, whos fault is it? Mine alone, and if I have a good one, I'll take the credit for that too.
