Credit card transactions have become a good 30% of our business. We recently converted to a system that processes the card transaction online. When the card is approved, the tickets immediately print along with the customer and merchant receipts. At the concession, we have an Epson thermal roll printer that spits out the transaction receipts very quickly.

An average card transaction runs from 3 to 5 seconds. Add to that the ability to go up to $35 without a customer signature & the transaction speed becomes quite comparable to cash.
