quote: David Favel and are very active in attemting to educate about piracy (thats who sent the "download" trailer that you screened with Shark Tale.
Went to see Shark today at the suckfest that is Hoyts Northlands.
Asked daughter and friend after the movie if they remembered anything about piracy. "Nope" was the unified response. How about a trailer all about thieving stuff? "Oh yeah". "What did you think of it" I asked? "Its trying to be cool but its not".
So I guess that worked well then :-)
Mind you, it was onto a loser from the beginning. It showed (if I remember correctly) four acts of physical theft (a TV set being robbed through a window, a DVD being shoplifted from a shop etc) and then suggested that downloading a movie is the same thing. It only takes a single digit IQ to see that clearly they are not.
I did see a sign next to the ticket ripper reminding patrons that they may not video movies, and if caught they will be ejected. Not seen one of them before. In most juristictions, of course, its pointless, as what the sign is trying to do is add additional conditions to the contract that was made when money changed hands for the ticket, and any half decent lawyer would get you a full refund after the ejection.
And yes, they've messed up the print. Many random scratches, and lines down right side of picture thru much of the movie. I know they can't break down, seems they can't even exhibit.
