I never saw the original but the trailer sure scares the crap out of me. I think its that..ummm..jumping? I don't know what its called - all the blinking? Anyway, the burning film bit didn't phase me because the first time I saw the trailer it wasn't in my own theater. [Smile]

we're not running this trailer, but we did have a trailer burn on screen last week. seems a piece of masking tape came loose from its moorings and landed on the film, which jammed in the gate. (masking tape really is bad for film!) good thing the feature hadn't started. actually, never mind. it was butterfly effect.

The trailer is really great to watch. The people in the theater always look back at the booth to see what the problem is....and then they ever so slowly turn back around. "Yea I knew that wasn't real"

I had to pull the trailer from a print yesterday. I spliced the burn out to add to my "collection". [Big Grin]

I love the sound the trailer makes. You can hear the film "tail-out" passed the soundhead, then hear the projcetor behind you in the surround channel shutting off.
