Here are his pictures in the Pictures Warehouse. CINEMA PARADISO This small classic movie theatre located in Wanaka is a real find. Comfy old sofas, 3 seats in an old Morris Minor, a cafe and bar serving delicious meals before, during or after the movie, homemade ice cream and hot cookies for intermission and a warm welcome from the friendly patron who introduces the film with Celtic flair! The Lonely Planet travel guide lists the cinema as a "must do" and it is truly a unique and memorable movie experience! Canterbury, New Zealand Registered: Aug 2004 posted 02-21-2005 12:58 PM                        I'm one of the crew of chaps that projects at Oxford Movies in Oxford, North Canterbury, on the South Island, or the Mainland as NZers refer to it. In 1931 the Oxford Benevolent and Improvement League purchased a set of projectors to show "talkies" in the then just constructed town hall on a saturday night, and has been doing so ever since, though its been every other saturday in winter only for some years now. Projector upgrade to 1950s vintage Century copies in 1997, and we'll be cyan for the first movie of the season in March. Through the movies the OB&I raises funds for charitable and benevolent purposes, for the people of Oxford. Oxford's been in the news lately: http://www.oxford2oxford.co.uk Celebrating the fiftieth anniversary of the Morris Oxford, we, Joanne Bowlt and Tim Nicholson, are driving from Oxford, United Kingdom, to Oxford, New Zealand, in a 1954 Morris Oxford Series II. Setting out from Oxford, UK on 5th May 2004, they arrived here in Oxford, NZ, 13th February 2005, 287 days later. Nutters. Brian, I work for the same joint venture you do, I manage the technical department at Reading Cinemas The Palms in Christchurch. I am also Berkeley Cinemas Health and Safety Manager.  |  IP: Logged
