My fiancee and I love going out to see movies. We used to go almost every week and at least twice a month. This year, we'll go weeks without seeing one because there isn't anything worth seeing. As an owner of theater, I hope there are many people that are at that same event at the same time! As far as event cost the theater is much less expensive than concerts, sports events and such. We need to know what gets all the twice a year folks out and the four times a year folks. A lot of people in the area, and even from the tiny surrounding communities outside of Winnipeg (like the one I'm in) will go to the drive-in, but once the drive-in closes, will rent stuff from the PPV. I guess 12 minutes to the closest multiplex is way too far. The drive-in'er's hardly ever go to an indoor. And will drive past the indoor to see the same film at the drive-in. This says it all in a nutshell quote: Lyle Romer Exactly Mark! I didn't see any on the last movie I saw (Star Wars, though the theater managed to ruin the ending with their cue tape showing onscreen to bring the lights up, ensuring I will NEVER return there) but if they're still using it like I've seen on several other movies the past couple years, that would keep me far away from theaters even if they were being run perfectly! I'd rather watch a bootleg copy with the offending frames digitally corrected!  |  IP: Logged
