David,

I think you missed what I was getting at... That if you're the only game in town it really does not matter... play it and they will come. Stadium seating can be installed if inklings of another theatre should start to get around in his town. Watching the other guys groses 40 miles away is really meaningless since he has competition that also has stadium... you have to do at least an eye for an eye when it comes to that sort of situation. If you really like and have to have stadium then install it by all means, but if you have "your own area" it isn't going to up the groses unless the population magically increases.

A Baffle wall is a wall that the screen speakers are mounted in. Many important benefits can be gained from them. Its the basis of THX systems. Good room acoustics are also still a very necessary thing. Properly built baffle walls are made of 3 sheets of 5/8" sheetrock(each layer taped and sanded then the next layer staggered over that..... on a steel or wood stud frame. The wall is then covered with the correct acoustical material.

RE; Surrounds.... Not many screens get the correct number of surrounds they should have, some systems are barely able to replicate the required SPL level for "type A" optical playback levels let alone for digital levels. The old statement "You can never have too many" is at least 70% true. More small surrounds in a given room are generally better than less large surrounds. One tries to create a seamless sound field when designing a surround channel and this in only possible with alot of surrounds. Enough amplifier power to drive the correct number of surrounds to the proper level is also a very necessary thing.
