Well, Kevin Smith is currently making a film which will be titled "Zack and Miri make a porno"

Also, not all movies with "movie" in the title are bad! How about the 1978 "Movie Movie" with George C. Scott? I thought that was a good film!

ID4 = Independece Day (4th of July)
(it opened wide on July 3rd 1996)

I hate bad grammer what makes me go nuts.

Fortunately, my Ho got her groove on and scat for it.

It's pop culture migration, what is hip, etc.

I hate all types of stupid titles and the advertising idiots making far too much money brokering their ideas.

They can keep it, just like a poster of an idiot holding holding two basketballs over his hips (Balls of Fury). Just as insulting.

So you think that there is an actual copy write protection on the term Independence Day? Hum there was C&W song called that a few years go so that would surprise me (OH man had to change the word surprise put that damn English z in it again).

I have tried several times to find the movies ID1, ID2 and ID3 but can't seem to find them.

Heheh - I was working at a the Winchester Court Cinema (Memphis) when this came out. One of the staff put "I AM GOING TO GET YOU, SUCKER" out on the marquee. We all got a good laugh, but the manager made him change it. [Smile]

Actually... The two basketballs over his hips were for the movie Mr. Woodcock - which was a horrible title to put on the marquee also. Balls of Fury did have a poster with a ping pong paddle and a ping pong ball on each side of the handle. Very funny... and insulting to some people.

And "Mr. Woodcock" wasn't the first time that dumb idea was used either. I recall the poster from "Basketball".

But what really rubs me the wrong way are these stupid movies in general. They are formula films, that always end up the same, and have a very small built in audience. They target early teens, but can't be real 'teen' movies without getting an "R" rating, and then their target audience can't see it (without mommy coming along).

I mean, "Step Up" (sorry Disney) was a horrifically stupid film, which played in a large house for a week, then a week in the basement and then was gone. Who had a stroke and thought that "Step Up 2" needed to get made?

The Balls of Fury posters with the paddle and the 2 balls I recall vividedly (vividly?) as we were told to take those down by our corporate office, as customers found the poster to be offensive.

maybe people just dont like ping pong. [Confused]

one thing i can say about step up 2 is the dancing DOES look pretty impressive. but i wouldnt expect there to be much of a story in there, or any acting. I wouldnt pay to see it at the cinema. live, perhaps.
