That said, here are the numbers for today, with the total uniques playing either movie as well: Need for Speed 2D: 2,717 theaters Need for Speed 3D: 2,420 theaters Playing some variation of Need for Speed: 2,773 Keep in mind this only covers the United States and its territories. No Canada, Mexico, or UK. As for why the box office numbers reflect 3,115 theaters: The difference may be in the number of theaters whose showtimes we don't have at a given time. Some theaters don't submit their showtimes for a variety of reasons. Some theaters only run on the weekend.  |  IP: Logged
