What if you got your content via satellite?  |  IP: Logged Andrew Thomas Master Film Handler Posts: 273 From: Pearland, TX, USA Registered: Jun 2012 posted 05-28-2015 07:18 PM                     I think the truth is more that each sales rep at the studio gets an allotment of prints and they need to maximize that per print average for their commission/bonus structure and some times they don't think adding another marginal theater helps that. We are in our second year now and pretty much never get skipped over for movies in the 2500+ range, and NEVER get skipped at 3000+. Both of which automatically receive all content which if published to the satellite. We have had instances where we were told no prints were available despite the fact the content was sitting on the satellite server in our projection room. All that needed to happen was someone at Deluxe or Technicolor to push a button to publish the content to our LMS. We are far enough away from the nearest theatre that there are no clearance issues. This was clearly a case of some bean counter making a decision that had absolutely nothing to do with the availability of prints.  |  IP: Logged
