Like others have suggested it really depends on local demographics and habits of your customer base.

If a large segment of your customer base goes to church frequently then I think a 2:00 or 2:30 time frame would be good. But that also depends on the average time when churches there finish morning service. Some let out at noon right on the dot; others will go later to varying degrees. A bunch of the after church crowd goes to lunch in groups to socialize. That's going to be at least an hour there.

I agree about the comments on sports. Sundays can be pretty bad in January for American movie theaters with NFL playoffs getting underway. Of course the studios don't do themselves any favors by traditionally releasing junk product during the first few weeks of the year.

We have worse competition issues here in Texas with Friday nights and high school football than Sunday with pro football. If the local high school has game here in town, we are dead on Friday, but we also tend to make up a lot of that on Saturday.
