I parked by a fire on hydrant on Bleeker Street,and of course being a clever 21 year old I covered the hydrant with a garbage can. Well six hours later I came back and found my car with hoses draped all over it. It was mid summer and I had a convertable a 1958 Red Chevy Impala (Great Car) and I ended up paying a $300.00 fine. I considered myself lucky and learned an important lesson. Those were the days................
