Tried it a few years ago and perceived a very strong yeast flavor. Taking a bite of a cake of yeast might provide a similar experience. [puke]

Just stumbled over this thread.

The best way, IMHO to enjoy Vegemite is to do the following

1. Get nice hot toasted crumpet
2. Put butter on the crumpet & watch it melt
3. Spreadly Vegemite THINLY over the crumpet
4. Eat crumpet with nice hot cup of coffee
5. Go to Film-Tech, reply to this thread and state that you now see why I think Vegemite is as good as Krispy Kreme claims to be
