So I am curious.... What did everybody IMAGINE that Brad looked like?

When I first met Brad, he looked EXACTLY like I imagined he would. But that is probably because he described himself so well beforehand. I actually recognized him when he got off of the plane. Dwayne was a different story. To this day Brad still has to point out Dwayne to me before I will acknowledge his presence

Bob, after looking at the picture of Joe, I think it would be better if we got the finger.

Well Bob, with all of your complaining about wanting to expose me and myself Joe, you should've known I would pull something along these lines...and you will never know which family member I got that picture from either.

By the way, don't you think Joe did a nice job of adding that QSC logo to your son's shirt? I think it adds a lot to the believeability of the picture.

Also, the expression on "Joe's" face is because the picture was up all day before anyone noticed it! Sean's the guy with the sharp eye on this forum.

It's a reverse digital beard. Joe digitally removed it.

Well I just assume that it was one of the shirts that Barry Farrel had sent me over the years. All of my kid's (even though they are adults now) still wear the shirts, jackets and items that I have gathered over the years in our industry.

They say that everyone has a twin somewhere in the world...well, I know that Ed's is living in Dallas. I will have to call my friend, Walker, Texas Ranger and have him check you out.

Joe asked, "Well, what did you think Brad Looked like before you saw his picture?"

Pictures can be deceptive, per my comments after Showest in March. The only part I got right in my mind was the wearing of "Black."
I can't tell how tall he is but in my mind he is about 6'2", weight 225, I thought he would have a crew cut hair style. In the picture he looks shorter and about 160 lbs. I don't know which is correct, I can not tell from the photo.Wears Boxer shorts.

When I met Gordon and Mark at Showest I could not have picked them out of a line up if I had to. When Steve Guttag came by the booth, I knew who he was right away. When I saw Larry Shaw I knew who he was right away, of course I have known Larry for a number of years and we have met many times. The only time I was really in trouble was when my wife came by the booth and I tried to pick her up? You see, when you get on in years like me you begin to forget. Oh! dear, I forgot what I was going to say.

Joe from the picture of your nose and I assume that's you attached to it. You are about 5' 9" and weigh 158 and a half pounds. You wear multi colored shirts, wear Jockey Shorts. Your hair which is rapidly falling out was dirty blond. You are the only male member of film-tech who paints his toe nails.

Dwayne is an all around good guy. People like Dwayne. They Trust Dwayne. Dwayne is 6'1 and weighs 180 pounds. He is athletic and like to play touch football and softball.
He is meticules in his work habits. Brown hair and wears jockey shorts. If he wasn't an projectionist he would join with my friend Cordell Walker on the Texas Rangers.

Actually I'm 6'-0" and weight 180. I think Dwayne is shorter and weighs less than me. My hair is still intact, but the toenails each have a different color painted on them. My favorites are the glittered ones

Bob,

What is this talent you have for guessing what kind of underwear people wear? What clues do you use for that? It would be fun to come up with a mathematical formulation for guessing underwear type based on writing style or something. I love the bizarre turns some of these threads take.

As for the toenail painting, I've never done that, but on March 1, 1997, I was at a party and a girl painted my fingernails with alternating green and purple, and put a metallic coat on top of all of them. Two weeks later, when I was driving home to my parents' house (about a two hour drive then), I spent the entire trip scraping the stuff off so they wouldn't see it. I thought it was pretty cool, though. It started a lot of interesting conversations while it was on there.

My "conceived notion" of what Brad looks like did not match well the actual Brad. I was expecting an older looking guy, especially after seeing a picture he posted long ago showing film all over the floor in a spaghetti-like pile after a projector failsafe didn't do what it was supposed to (or something).

Well Bob, you got one thing right. (Evans, perhaps you should get tips from him for a mathematical evaluation of underwear.) Unfortunately you didn't get much else correct. I am 5'5" or 5'6" (guessing from other people's comments) and you missed EVERYTHING in regards to Dwayne.

I told ya my secret of youth chemical worked...I'm 31 and this picture was taken earlier this week. (Note the QSC shirt that was sent to me from ShoWest.)

You don't wear any underwear, do ya Bob?

Not if I can help it, Brad.

I have been known to streak through Central Park after Midnight.

You know Brad, I qualified and said you might be shorter. I said 5'9" So go ahead and crucifiy me for three inches.

Now admit it didn't you laugh when Joe said he was 6' tall. His nose alone is 5' 5" so he must be only 7" high. Must be hell for him to try and thread those projectors.

Well, keep up the good work and I promise I will find another thread to comment on.

Perhaps you could start a thread where you identify people by the kind of underwear they have? Evans could keep score. This sounds like the making of the first annual "Bob Maar / Film-Tech Underwear Competition"!
