Randy,

I hope I didn't offend you with my "'IMPORTANT' people will be hard to reach' quote and other comments. It was not meant as a personal attack on you. Judging by your posts here, you need your phone as a dedicated employee who cares about presentation.

I simply meant to comment in general about people who don't use proper cell phone etiquette.

Chris

No problem, man! No offense taken. It was taken with the humor which (I think) you intended. This whole thread is supposed to be a dream, right? It isn't really happeining, is it?

Actually I don't get called that often. I have had a few calls at inopportune moments. Ever been sitting on the john in a busy public restroom when it rings? Thank the phone gods for caller ID!

i once had a dream that i was running one side of the theatre and one of my friends was running the other side.
i walked over to his side and there was a party going on.
i asked him why the hell all these people were up there and he told me that they werent hurting anything.
the only problem was as i was walking around, there were people eating and drinking all over the booth and leaving messes everywhere. one group of people actually had a picnic blanket and a basket and everything.
the worst part came when i walked by one theatre and there were employees rubbing black shoe polish on a moving platter. again i asked what the hell they were doing, and they said "its ok, man, its not gonna hurt anything."
Then i looked out the window and could see black shoe polish smudges down all over the picture and the customers were starting to look up towards the port glass.
the complaint came over the radio and i panicked and said that there would be a manager in the booth any minute now and everybody rushed to get out of the booth.

i woke up after that.

I remember one night when one of my managers kept calling me for this and that (I'm sure it was a record), and the next morning I jolted awake because I swear I heard his voice on the radio, and I thought I might have fallen asleep in the booth (No, I don't sleep on the job that much ), but I was at home in bed. But my god it sounded so real.
That was pretty weird.
