That reminds me, do you guys remember all the "Ate My Balls" pages that were floating around a few years ago?
I think it started with Mr.T Ate My Balls.
Are people still making those or has that passed completely (no pun intended, I'm not that creative)

Well, someone has done it now. On the LED scrolling message board in the lobby of the Baptist Student Center here, which normally has a welcome message and a summary of activities, had an extra message inserted by someone: "All your base are belong to us". I knew it was going to happen. I just knew it.

If we could just get one of the local theatres to put it on their marquee.

How the hell did this just NOW get so popular when the game it's from has been around for about 10 years? Would have been MUCH funnier then. I'll admit I'm enough of a geek to still find this funny at all though

Probably because the internet wasn't much of something the public used back then. Even if it was, I don't think it would have had the effect back then. Why not? Emulators! Emulators have enabled anyone with a decent computer to play just about any video game ever made. You can now download just about every home and arcade game EVER (not to mention the sad fact that MAME.DK has gone down due to them not being able to afford the server... they had several terabytes worth of downloads per week. More bandwidth was passed through that site than any other ever.)

Since so many people can now experience the game for themselves, it is easy to spread the phenomenon. If you want to see it yourself, any copy of Zero Wing won't do. You must be able to run it on a Genesis/Mega Drive emulator for it to display the infamous infamous phrases.
