quote: 1. You check film-tech forums at least once an hour to see if any new posts have been made.
Tru to a certain extent. quote: 2. The Film-Yak [edit: did you mean the Joke Forum?] forum has superceded all your other sources for jokes on the net.
I have no other sources for jokes on the net. I cheered up my (unofficial) girlfriend when some creep at her school kept giving her . I cheered her up with jokes from the joke forum. <<<--------#6 Case in point. quote: 3. You put a link to film-tech on a WWW site that you run, not primarily to let your users know about it, but to provide a link so you can more easily get to it.
I don't currently run a web site, when it got to the point where all I could do to update it was animate the logos, I knew it was time to stop for a while. [another post-posting(?) edit] MY SITE IS ON THE WAYBACK MACHINE! Just search for "kid tv online" (first you have to search for the wayback machine) quote: 4. You post a review of a movie on the movie review forum as soon as you get to a computer after leaving the movie theatre.
No, I usually don't post reviews. quote: 5. You have no fear of condemnation by other members if you mention thinking that your booth is haunted.
Screenplay mode on: John (sheepishly) I don't actually work in a booth John hides in the corner and cries. Screenplay mode off. quote: 6. You edit every post 4 or 5 times after first submission to correct every spelling and grammatical error that you're aware of.
Only when there are major errors that distort what I'm trying to say. quote: 7. You get depressed if it is a slow day for film-tech postings.
Yes. quote: 8. When you're sitting in a theatre, you notice every detail that is wrong with the presentation and auditorium environment and wish you could fix it.
Yes. quote: 9. When someone asks you how a movie was, you give details based on the quality of the presentation rather than of the movie contents or quality.
Welllll............... I don't make it the WHOLE review, but it's a nice sized chunk. quote: 10. Any time you're in any room in a building with a large amount of unused space, you calculate the maximum size screen that could be placed there and think of how the room could be turned into a theatre auditorium.
Yes. quote: 11. If your theatre has more than 16 screens, you are dying to interlock a movie through all of the projectors to top the 16-way interlock.
::hides:: quote: 12. Microsoft Internet Explorer always knows your username and password for film-tech, so you never have to actually type it.
I use AO-Hell. But I can type in "F, <Enter>" and get this site. quote: 13. You find yourself using the phrase "Film Done Right" to describe theatres with excellent presentation quality.
Yes. quote: 14. After any movie, you know if sperical or anamorphic lenses were used, and know how many blades were in the shutter mechanism of the camera that filmed it.
My friends all call me loser Every single day Sing this to the hoe-down from "Who's Line Is It Anyway?" I know the lenses and the sound Like the tines on my fork My friends all wonder how a guy like me is such a dork. quote: 15. You wonder what the moderator, Brad Miller, really looks like.
I don't lose any sleep over it. [not anymore] See my signature \/. I have NO IDEA what it looks like! ------------------ John Lasher Era 5000 Digital Boffomusic@aol.com
