OK, 1st car : 63 Morris Mini Minor , the one with the sliding
windows and starter button on the floor.
2nd car : 68 Holden HK Premier , this had the 2 speed auto transmission.
3rd switched to a bike , 72 Suzuki 100 road. This was a site for sore eyes,
someone 18st (then) squashing this poor little thing!
4th : 69 Ford ZC Fairlane , wish I kept that one as the ZC & ZD series are now
collectors items.
5th switched to a bike again , 75 Honda 750, one to many close calls on that ,
got rid of it after 6 months.
6th : 80 Holden Gemini kept for 5 yrs , hows this ,one day the clutch cable broke
as I was reversing up the driveway to pack for a country trip.
7th : 80 Ford ZJ Fairlane , sold it 18months ago after 320k , klm's ,
it still had the original water pump !
8th : 84 Holden Gemini , my daughter wrote it off last year, spent 6 months
rebuilding it in the shed , shes now back driving it again.
9th : current , 97 Nissan Pulsar , brilliant motor and transmission , wife mainly drives this.
10 th : also current 97 Mazda Bravo ute (truck) , its converted to run on LPG, saves a bucket
on fuel costs.

I am a Ford guy. All these vehicles were bought new, with the exception of #1.#1: '73 Mustang w/351 Cleveland. Like a fool, I traded it in on: #2: '77 Mustang Cobra (with T-roof). It was a hauler, but then I got a practical minded girlfriend and traded the car in (saving a bundle in insurance in the process) on a... #3: '79 Mustang. Went from an 8-banger to a 4-banger. What a letdown. I had to get rid of it. Went to: #4: '80 Mercury Zephyr. Pretty big car, but sporty looking. I had it for three weeks, then got run into by a drunk, totalling the car. So I got.... #5: Another exact copy of the same '80 Zephyr. I was in a major partying mode while driving this car, and am surprised it didn't get more worn out than it did. Looking to be more compact, I went to: #6: '82 Ford Thunderbird. Nice car, but it had a ridiculous interest rate, so when the rates went down, I traded it for: #7: '86 Thunderbird. Pretty much the same car, but with a bigger engine and lots more luxury gadgets. At 86,000 miles, the engine started crapping out, so I traded for: #8: '92 Ford Ranger. Got tired of hauling film, boxes of candy, trailers, standees, etc. in my car seats and trunk, so I became a pickup guy (also hoping to score more chicks than the T-bird was getting me). That didn't work, but the pickup was about the best vehicle I've had. Learned my lesson about oil changes with the T-birds....change it religiously every 3 to 5000 miles and your engine will outlive you. Words to live by. Anyway, I drove 125,000 miles in the '92 Ranger before trading it in for: #9: 2000 Ranger. Basically the same truck, only with 4 doors, which is really nice. Also in 2000 I got married, and in so doing acquired a '97 Pontiac Grand Am. The good thing about this (other than the obvious good stuff about being married) is, the mileage on my pickup has been cut WAY down. The thing is over a year old and only has 11,000 miles on it. This has been fun, going down automotive memory lane.

My 3rd car and current plaything is my '65 Ford Falcon Ranchero, and like most Falcon, Torino and Ranchero lovers, I am "Just Falcon Around"!  289 automatic w/full power. Little by little work is getting done. If I only had the cash right now, I would do a fullground-off restro-mod to it, which would definately make it better than anything on the road today!My ultimate dream car...well, thats easy! Deusenberg by Al Leamy or Gordon Beuhrig, Auburn Boattail by Beuhrig/Leamy, Lincoln or Packard by Ray Dietrich!

Whoah, been a while since I originally posted on here. This summer I bought a 1992 Toyota Celica ST. Equiped it with a JVC head unit that supports MP3 CDS (MUCH BETTER THAN FM), recently replaced the factory 4" with Bazooka Reference Series, and the factory 63/4" with Rockford Fosgates. This week I bought an Infinity Basslink for the trunk that packs a whopping 200 watts RMS output for the low frequencies.
I hope to buy a new IBook that I plan to be able to integrate into the interior of my car, for my passengers to enjoy DVD's on. If I don't do that I will install the little PSOne with the portable screen in the passenger side dashboard, so when I get a lead foot I can play me a classic game of "Gran Turismo 1", instead of racing my car around and getting into trouble.The Mercialago (SP) is my new dream car, and for my "I WISH" practical car, I want one of the 2003 Neon SRT's. Top speed of 148mph, 0-60mph in less than 6 seconds, and it will be Dodges second fastest car, only behind the Viper.

Haven't posted in a while, but here goes:1st car: '84 Olds Cutlass Cruiser. Dad traded a shiplight for. 168k+ miles, engine died on hills (never took on the freeway because of this), occasionally lost power while driving, light blue (paint was coming off though), and had a funky tape player installed that was WAY too big for the dash. After a couple months it up and completely died on me. My dad took it to the dump and gave me: 2cd car (still drive): '79 Buick LeSabre Limited. 84k miles (original engine. I have it up to 97k now, but an elderly woman was said to drive it before my father purchased it in '96-it had 60k then). The body BADLY needs work-different shades of blue, 4.9 liter V-8, AM/FM radio, recently had the R-12 AC charged, and one of the few cars around with a Quartz analog clock set in the front dash (my father being a watch and clock collector is proud of that). Nicknamed "Sabotage" because it resembles an old 70's cop car, like out of the Beastie Boys video (I know, I know the car in the video is a Ford Crown Vic, around the 1980's, but the name sticks with me). Been in two accidents with it (none of them my fault): Rear ended full-on by a F-150-no damage, and backed into by an El Camino-no damage. It's my lovely tank

OK. First car (shared with my Mum) 1962 Pontiac Laurention
4 dr/ 6 cyl/ standard steering and brakes. Parking in city streets
was hell.Later cars included (my first bought on my own) 1969 Chevelle, 350 cid/ 4 barrel carb /411 rear end. Did 1/4 mile in under 13 sec.. Late cars were Chevy Vega / GMC Jimmy / a crappy used 1971 Mustang /
Datsun and then a nice '78 Monte Carlo followed by an assortment of other crap until I now have a beautiful 2000 Ford Taurus with all the bells and whistles (pedals are even adjustable..so cool). Most of my cars were 4 or 5 years old when I bought them, and came with the usual inherited problems. Advice..buy close to new (when you can afford it). Look for something that is 1 to 3 yrs old. Let the rich guys take the depreciation. Happy Motoring

1976 Mercedes - don't know the model number. This was a hand-me-down from my mom. Nice car until my sister trashed it.1984 Nissan Maxima. Another hand-me-down. This time, a gift from a very wealthy uncle. 1987 Chevy S-10 Pickup Truck with extended cab. Very nice. Sold it when I went to college. 1985 Audi 5000S - Was nice until started having engine trouble, and then it seemed like it was always in the shop for SOMETHING. 1997 Saturn SL-1. My first brand-new car. Saturn is a really cool company. Those commercials aren't lying! I'd buy another one if I ever lived in the States again. 1995 Honda Passport with 4WD. Very nice until I started having engine trouble. Actually, it turned out that this one had a bad gasket and coolant was getting into the head and caused a crack in the engine block...anyway...I sold it to the mechanic. Now, I either walk to work or the theatre owner comes and gets me...depending on which location I'm going to (one is only across the street, the other is across town and two are on different islands, so I have to fly there). ------------------
