Might as well mention the following:

printer: HP4050N named "bartleby" (after the character in Melville's short story) -- typical good B&W network laser printer; will do 17ppm and toner cartridges are very cheap

camera: 35mm Minolta X700; I've had this for about 10 years and really like it...it's a very good deal for anyone who wants a manual-focus SLR camera; I don't have a scanner, so I am at the mercy of what I can get my hands on at work, at friends' houses, at Kinkos, etc.
