I have news for everyone. There is no way I could handle this alone. To tell the truth as soon as I tell a joke I don't remember it anymore.

I want total participation of all members. If every member were to post one joke every day and we have about 750 members, well that is 750 per day times seven or 5250 jokes per week. Oh! What a book we could write.

I appreciate 's faith in me because he "nose" what he is talking about.

Why don't we take it to 100 pages and then split into a deversified thread. I was talking to Paul Thompson on line when we were at 29 pages and I told him I was going to go to 50 and stop. However something is driving me to the century mark, Like I want to see it happen. It is what l live for.

And...Jerry with comments like that I may have to "chase" you into the bar for a "chaser."

P.S. I am back on Maartini's and off

I had thought a book would be a good idea, and had started with dumping the first 2-3 pages into word files, then editing and proofing, etc. to be printable without Ph.D. types thinking we are all idiots.

But due to limited time that was all I'd got done so far. Perhaps I can push myself to do a page a week. It has to be in a somewhat powerful word processor first if we are to get to the point of typesetting and then a complete book.

Without question Bab Maar is a treasure. Just take it easy on the martinis, Bob!

I like the idea of splitting the joke threads into categories, but I dont know if the offensive category would go over well.
At least it didnt when I tried it

It should be relatively easy (with a Perl program or something, depending on how text for the actual posts are stored on the film-tech machines) to take all of the jokes and put them into some kind of continuous, printable file format. The script could also generate an index based on keywords.
