They might have a good reason for it.
If I was after someone who didnt know I was after them, I wouldnt want them to find out.

Well by announcing that they know who it is then I assume the guilty party knows that they are after him/her. Now that person has more time to cover their tracks.

Why would they do that? They probably do not know, and are trying to scare the guilty person into making a dumb move so they can catch them.

Surely if they knew who it was he'd be arrested by now. Why wouldn't he? Is the FBI just giving him time to return his videos to Blockbuster so he won't get fined? Nah.... they don't know who it is. The only thing that'll make me change my mind on this is a news headline that pops up real soon saying they've got him.
