Ian,

Just ran across what you are looking for. A 1998 Eastman Kodak Publication called "Projection Guidlines for Reel People" has such a checklist on page 46. It breaks it down into daily,weekly,monthly,and semi-annually sections along with a "pre-flight" check list on page 47.

Maybe John P. could help you get a copy or get the ok for someone to post the page in a pdf file here on Film-Tech.

The now defunct (but still on-line) General Cinema Theatres booth site (developed by Steve Geiger) had a maintenance calendar under "MAINT" that might be used as a model:

I have read that ports should be cleaned with a foaming cleaner and newspaper.. Does anyone have a cleaner they prefer and/ or why is newspaper better than papertowels?

Newspaper streaks less, and leaves little to no lint on the glass, compared to standard paper towels.
