Wow. 3 years already. It seems just like yesterday when I discovered the site. I probably discovered it within a few weeks of its startup, and waited a long time before registering.I have to say that this is definitely one of the best specialized technical forum/informational site on the net. Very rarely do so many people with a common interest come together in this manner. Typically, either the site goes well initially and after the new wears off, creating a dead site, or the signal to noise ratio drops to the point that serious posters leave. Neither has happened to film-tech. Film-tech feels like a community, and this community would not have developed without Brad Miller's strict moderation and organization of the site. It also would not have been possible without the many knowledgeable people who participate here. It's truly a one-of-a-kind site, and I've learned more about film and projection here than anywhere else. I feel that the quality of my own site (the presentation quality ratings, especially) have been greatly improved by what I've learned from film-tech members. Speaking of anniversaries, my hsvmovies.com site will be four years old on February 9. As the Pickles comic in today's paper said, "When you're young, the days seem short and the years seem long, but when you're old, the years seem short and the days seem long." Brad definitely deserves an award of technical excellence for film-tech. When I make the gold and silver projection quality awards for Regal River Oaks Cinema 8 and Carmike 10, I think I'll make one and put it with the film-tech.com link that I have on my site. ------------------ Evans A Criswell Huntsville-Decatur Movie Theatre Information Site

Congratulations Brad.I picked up on this thanks to Ethan leaving your presentation tips around the booth at Tinseltown soon after you started the site. Thanks for being there. Paul.
