I find it extremely hard to believe that some employees of LucasFilm snuck out a videotape of Episode II from the ranch and screened it in a hotel room. (And don't even say they set up a D-cinema DLP machine in a hotel room for this.) Now maybe he saw the same "reel" of footage that was shown at ShoWest, that I could believe, for he even mentioned the ShoWest reel in his review. As far as the review, my opinion is that it is all based upon scripts and various things taken from the internet...and perhaps he snuck into the ShoWest performance. Security was basically zero there anyway.Still, from what I've seen, this movie certainly does look quite good.

I listened many years ago to a radio interview that Mel Brooks did as he was discussing the possibility of a sequel to SpaceBalls... in his words "well we wanted to do another one, SpaceBalls 2, the search for more money, as we alluded to in the original film, but we lost the script for it. So we proceeded right to SpaceBalls 3, the search for SpaceBalls 2. The problem with that one is that no one cared about finding Spaceballs 2 so now we are working on 'SpaceBalls 4, what the hell happened to Spaceballs 2 and 3?. No really, I personally don't like to do sequels. reason is, you spoof a film genre once, then you let it go. No point rehashing something just because the original author cant let it go." Now as for thumb wars... no thanks.. but did love hardware wars... Dave
