I usually read the forums and check to see what's been posted at least twice a day, except on weekends sometimes, depending on what I'm doing. I'm just used to it being there and reading it is part of my daily routine. Without it, my day just doesn't seem complete. I admit I don't post as much as I used to, because a lot of the issues that I discuss have been discussed a lot in the past, and I haven't had much to contribute lately. There are a lot of issues with film vs. digital that I'd like to investigate and know more about, but I have been much busier at work lately and haven't had much time to mathematically analyze things. However, I will start a thread on the Film-Yak forum soon about one mathematical thing I've come across lately.

Every time the site goes down for an extended period (a day or more), I start to wonder what it would be like if film-tech were to be gone forever. I'd certainly miss it, since it is one of the best forum type of sites on the WWW, and certainly a source of a ton of information that can't be found anywhere else. After reading posts from all of you for such a long time, I feel I know a lot of you, even though meeting any of you in person may never happen. That aspect of this site would make me miss it even more. Those are the thoughts that run through my head every time the site fails to load for a while.
